Each year, KershawHealth hosts teen volunteers who assist staff with various duties throughout the hospital. This summer, teens took on a project to beautify the courtyard at the medical center. The Hospital Auxiliary Board donated funds to purchase some colorful annuals, fresh mulch and potting soil for the planting beds. With the help of Camden Urban Forester Liz Gilland, the teens removed dead plants, pruned others, weeded, refreshed mulch in the beds and planted new flowers to brighten up this well-used space. The teen volunteers included (front row, from left) Paula Patel, Ki’Asia Grant, Meagan Sims, Alexis Rice, Tiffany Rogers, (back row) Patrick Carolina, Lori Arledge, Sarah Allen and Warren Moseley.
