The West Wateree-Lugoff Rotary Club’s third annual Wild Game Dinner and Silent Auction is scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at Old McCaskill’s Farm on Cantey Lane, just south of I-20. Proceeds go to the West Wateree Rotary Scholarship Fund benefitting Lugoff-Elgin High School seniors.

Club president Eric Rundlett describes the event as “down-home and delicious,” with wide support from the community. “I’m particularly excited by how we will be showcasing local talent. Hunters in our club provide the game, Jeff Clark and Paul Hayes will provide bluegrass music, and a wonderful local farm will be providing a great setting and great food.”

The menu will feature venison, duck, wild hog and numerous side items. There will also be a wide variety of door prizes and silent auction items including a YETI cooler, golf packages and a collectible 1970 Browning 16-guage shotgun.

Since 1990, the West Wateree Rotary Club has been committed to providing scholarships to Lugoff-Elgin High School seniors. Through fundraising efforts, more than $73,000 in scholarships have been awarded to approximately 110 students to help them further their education.

Sponsors for the dinner include:
