What once was a simple video that detailed the safety rules on an airplane has now become a source for viral videos.

Air New Zealand has spiced up the required video in the past by bringing in fitness instructor Richard Simmons, actress Betty White and most recently actor Elijah Wood, known for playing Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Wednesday, the company released its second “Hobbit” safety video: “The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made #airnzhobbit.” Wood is featured in the video, along with Sir Peter Jackson, director of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies.

Breathtaking scenes from New Zealand are shown as Air New Zealand airline attendants and characters from “The Hobbit” explain procedures such as fastening a seatbelt and blowing up a life jacket.

Air New Zealand published the video less than two months before the final installment in The Hobbit series hits theaters. “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Fiver Armies” will be released in the United States on Dec. 17.

At the time of publication, the safety video had more than 940,000 video views.
