A 92-year-old-woman is touching hearts and reminding people of an important but often forgotten principle with a touching poem: True worth and beauty are found within.

Wanda B. Goines wrote the poem "The Gift Wrap and the Jewel" and recited it for her caretake, Kathryn Clausnitzer Wilson, who posted it to Facebook.

The video has been viewed more than 4.6 million times since Wilson posted it on Aug. 28.

The words of Goines' poem remind viewers that a person's worth is not determined by age or appearance.

"The years that spoil your gift wrap with other things more cruel, should purify and strengthen and polish up that jewel," Goines recites in the video. "Then when your gift wraps stripped away, your jewel will be set free, to radiate Gods glory throughout eternity."

Goines is a mother of eight from Oregon. The poem's viral status has been a sweet surprise for the Goines family.

"She is not long for this earth, and it delights her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as all those who know her and love her, that she is able to make a contribution to the world, even as she is leaving it," Goines' son and internationally acclaimed artist David Goines told The Huffington Post in an interview.
