Kershaw County will see two new county council members, a current councilman and a new probate judge take office in January following Tuesday’s election. Retired U.S. Army Gen. Julian Burns of Camden will be the next Kershaw County Council chairman, as he received 11,809 votes to defeat former county councilman Bobby Gary, who garnered 6,797 votes. Burns total was approximately 63.5 percent of the total votes cast.
