There was a very good chance Sammie Tucker Jr.'s home -- the one he has owned and lived in on Springhill Road southeast of Camden since 1996 -- would have been sold to the highest bidder on the steps of the Kershaw County Courthouse Sept. 7. The home and its 1.45 acres of land was being foreclosed by Bank of America. Another home being foreclosed would not make headlines.
