Heavy absentee voting on last days before today’s election
Saturday Voting 1
A long line of voters wrapped around Camden City Arena on Saturday, the next to last day of absentee voting in Kershaw County. Some voters reported standing on line for an hour and half, much longer than just a few days earlier when wait times were, at maximum, 15 minutes. Today is Election Day; absentee voters were also allowed to vote from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday. (Martin L. Cahn/C-I)
An even heavier than expected turnout during the last three days of absentee voting caused far longer wait times for Kershaw County voters than they had experienced during the entire month of October.
