Legislators focus on jobs, economy at forum

The successes, failures and upcoming priorities of the nation, state and county topped the discussion list Monday at the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Legislative Forum. Congressman Mick Mulvaney, S.C. State Sen. Vincent Sheheen, S.C. State Rep. Laurie Funderburk, Kershaw County Council Chairman Gene Wise and S.C. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Otis Rawl were featured at the event designed to open up dialogue between local leaders and constituents. Mulvaney, who represents Kershaw County in the U.S. House of Representatives, focused on the national economic outlook and its affect on the state.
