Young Republicans Ned Towell and Chris Oviatt, candidates for Kershaw County Probate Judge and auditor, respectively, and incumbent Democrats Harriett Pierce and Robin Watkins, spoke to voters Tuesday night during a voters forum at the Robert Mills Courthouse. Towell, a Camden City Councilmen, said he’s from the Internet generation, while his opponent, Pierce, spoke about her decades of experience in the probate judge’s office. Towell wants to establish a mental health board in Kershaw County, and “restore” efficiency and accountability in the probate office, he said.
