They may not agree on many issues, but one thing both Democratic and Republican party leaders could come together on Tuesday was that voter turnout was extremely strong. “The turnout and enthusiasm has been phenomenal,” said Kershaw County Republican Party Chairman Chris Oviatt. “At least in the Elgin and Lugoff areas where I’ve been most of the morning, they’ve broken the 300 mark.”
