A second candidate has entered the race for Kershaw County Council District 5. Brant Tomlinson announced his candidacy Tuesday at a special campaign kick-off event held in Camden. District 5, which covers the areas from greater downtown Camden through east Camden to the Antioch community and neighborhoods along S.C. 34 and Black River Road, is currently represented by Dennis Arledge, who recently announced that he is not running for re-election.
