The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a carjacking incident that reportedly occurred Thursday evening. A KCSO report said a juvenile told deputies her mother stopped to use an automated teller machine (ATM) along U.S. 1 in Lugoff and while she was out of the car a light-skiined African American male got into the car and forced the girl out of the car before driving away eastbound on U.S. 1 toward Camden. The driver of the car using the ATM said she heard her daughter yelling, saw the car drive away and called 911 on her cell phone.
