Frustrated dog owners who have spent tireless hours trying to train their dogs with unsatisfactory results have the opportunity to give training another go under the guidance of professionals Jan. 10 at the Wateree Animal Hospital in Elgin and Jan. 17 at the Wateree Animal Hospital in Camden at 2 p.m. The K9 Academy, whose motto is “Transforming Your Dog Into a Companion,” and the Wateree Animal Hospitals in Elgin and Camden have joined forces to provide two free training seminars titled “5 Secrets of Dog Training.” This is the Academy’s first public training seminar and Geoff Ellinwood, owner and operator of the South Carolina K9 Academy, is hoping to attract as many people as possible. “It’s a way to help people,” Ellinwood said.
