A. Jean Kramer, of Lugoff, passed from this life on Friday, May 4, 2012.

She was born in Mahanoy, PA on September 23, 1929 to Amelia and Karl Zeller. She graduated from Mahanoy City High School and married Paul E. Kramer on August 30, 1950. She was a loving wife and mother of 3 children. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, choir director and substitute organist. She and her husband moved to South Carolina to live with her daughter, Nancy, in 2008. She became an active member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church and sang in the chancel choir. She loved God, her family, music and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; her daughters, Nancy and Judy; her son, Karl, her daughter-in-law, Dale; her granddaughter, Lindsay and her husband, Craig.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Food for the Poor,, 6401 Lyons Rd., Coconut Creek, FL 33073, St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 1301 Mill St., Camden, SC 29020, or Christ Lutheran Church, PO Box 4, Mahanoy City, PA 17948.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Kramer will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, May 7, 2012 at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. Reverend Angela Jennings will officiate.
