Annie L. Hawkins, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 22, 2019, in The Sam A. Karesh Wing of KershawHealth.

Mrs. Hawkins, wife of the late WW “Bill” Hawkins, was born on January 24, 1930, in South Carolina to the late Julius Inman and Ethel Terrel Lynch. Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Camden First Baptist Church. She was an owner of Hawk Aviation with her husband, Bill. She was the secretary of the S.C. Breakfast Club for 30 years.

Surviving are her children, Debra Leach Kelly of Camden, Robert I. Leach (Dare) of John’s Island, S.C., grandchildren, Jonna K Stougstad of El Paso, TX, Joshua B. Kelly of Lugoff, Ally Harding (Theo) of Charleston, Robert I. Leach Jr. of Charleston, John M Leach II of GA, Trey Kelly of Cummings, GA; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, John M. Leach, Sr.

Services will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Karesh Wing and Staff for taking great care of Mrs. Hawkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sam A. Karesh Wing of KershawHealth.
