Funeral services to celebrate the life of Arlene Behrens Mosier, 87, of Cassatt, SC, will be held at 4:00 PM today, February 4, 2015 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Dean Elliott and Rev. Mary D’Alessio will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery. Arlene Behrens Mosier, widow of the late Jack Mosier, died Monday, February 2, 2015. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 19, 1927, the daughter of the late John Behrens and Elizabeth Jones Behrens. She was a competitive ice and roller skater in her teens, and was the recipient of a bronze and silver medal. Arlene was educated at Bishop McDonnel High School and Drakes Business School in New York. She retired from Skyline Manufacturing Company after 30 years in which she worked as the payroll supervisor. Arlene and her husband moved to South Carolina, her husband’s home, in 1950. She was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church, the Adelphia Sunday School Class where she taught Sunday school, worked in AWANA and V.B.S., was a member of the 14K Club and volunteered in 4 year K.
Arlene is survived by her son, John R. Mosier (Jan), Betty Young (Willis), Hazel McCallum (Larry) and Suzanne Menken (John); grandchildren, Rick Bailey, Heather Tetterton, Mac McCallum, Robby Mosier, Chuck Mosier, Jackie Bain, Kyle Mosier, Charles Menken, Laura Menken, Julie Menken and Steven Menken; great-grandchildren, Joshua Bailey, Jessica Tetterton, Katelyn Bain, Jackson Bain, Abbi Tetterton, Anna Tetterton and Sarah Tetterton.
