Funeral services with military honors to honor the life of William Audie Mangum, 56, of Camden were held Sunday December 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Ed Stokes will officiate. The family received friends Saturday, December 11, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Mr. Mangum died December 9, 2010. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Pauline Eubanks Mangum and the late William Neil Mangum. He was a United States Army National Guard Veteran medic having served for 20 years. Mr. Mangum was a paramedic serving the South Carolina and North Carolina area for 30 years and was employed by KershawHealth for 22 years. He also taught EMT classes and defensive driving classes. Mr. Mangum was a former deacon and member of Southside Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Norma Jean Bowers Mangum; daughters, Jennifer Mangum Guyton (Derrick) of Camden and Betsy Parker (David) of Camden; grandchildren, Destiny and Madison Guyton, Katelyn and Alby Guyton, and Kyleigh and Gavin Parker and sister, Barbara Cheryl Phillips of Kershaw. He was predeceased by a sister, Sheila Gail Sansbury.
