A memorial service to celebrate the life of Barbara Trent Goodwin, 82, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Grace Episcopal Church. Rev. Pickett Wall will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Richardson Hall until 1:00 PM. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church pre-school and kindergarten, 1315 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Barbara died Monday, October 23, 2017. She was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Jay R. Trent and Katherine Horton Trent. Barbara was a retired kindergarten teacher, a member of Grace Episcopal Church, having served as a Eucharistic Minister, on the Alter Guild, Vestry, Clerk of Vestry and the kindergarten board. She also was a member of Daughters of the King, Women’s Bible Study, Education for Ministry and Prayer Shawl and Teddy Bear Ministry.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Julie G. Johnson of Camden and Laurie G. Melton of Camden; granddaughter, Rebecca J. Fowler (Brann) of Greenville; grandson; Jonathan D. Melton of Camden; grandson, Daniel L. Melton of Camden; and great-granddaughters, Savannah Melton and Charleston Melton.

Barbara was predeceased by husband, Bruce L. Goodwin; father; mother; and her sister, Beverly Ann Trent.
