Barry Rollins Davis, born to Violet Rollins Davis and the late Ernest L. Davis, Sr. on September 12, 1956 in Camden, S.C., passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 and went to be with his Lord and Savior. Barry graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School. He was in the swimming pool business for 30 years and was currently employed at Leisure Pools in Lugoff. He served a tour of duty in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Clemson fan. He liked to write songs, singing and play the guitar.
Barry is survived by his son, Cyrus Kendrick Davis; brother, Ernest L. “Butch” Davis, Jr. (Debbie); special cousin, Forest (Susan) and Dwight (Angelique) Thomas; nephews, Jamie and Luke Davis; niece, Amy L. Davis; several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce Lee Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 at Springvale Baptist Church. Friends may visit the family at 108 Conifer Rd, Lugoff. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery.
