A graveside service to celebrate the life of Betsy Lynn Mitcham, 68, of Jacksonville, Fla. will be held at the Quaker Cemetery at Camden, S.C., on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 2 p.m.

Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate.

Miss Mitcham died April 30, 2012 in Jacksonville, Fla. Born in Wilmington, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Ulysses F. and Hazel Harrelson Mitcham. Ms. Mitcham is a graduate of Camden High School and Winthrop University.

She taught high school in Greenville, S.C. from 1966 to 1968, before moving to Orange Park, Fla. where she taught at Orange Park High School for 30 years before retiring in 1998. She was the women’s tennis coach at Orange Park High School for 20 years.

Miss Mitcham is survived by her brother Michael S. Mitcham and his wife Ruth, of Lexington, N.C.; nephews David Mitcham and his wife Kelly, of Lexington, N.C.; Chris Mitcham, of Jacksonville, Fla. and Greg Mitcham and his wife, Susan, of Greenville, S.C.; niece Tanya Rogers and her husband, John, of Greenville, S.C.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Camden in memory of Miss Mitchum.
