Graveside services for Betty Duncan Catoe, 74, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Scotch Cemetery with Rev. Frank Davis and Rev. Larry Fraser serving as officiants. The family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home, Hartsville, SC.

 

 

 

Mrs. Catoe, widow of John Maxie Catoe, died Monday, January 28, 2013.  Born in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Howell C. and Bertha Glaze Duncan. She was a member of Bethune Baptist Church and was active in the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. She enjoyed spending time with the ladies in her bridge club and her knitting club.

 

 

 

Surviving are her son, John Mark (Vicki) Catoe of Suwanee, GA; daughters, Deborah Catoe Hultgren of Denver, NC, Lisa Catoe (Lawrence) Smith of Bethune, SC; her twin brother, Bob (Frances) Duncan of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Stefanie Hutlgren, Kayce Smith, Amanda Smith, Ryan Hultgren, Matthew Catoe, Wilson Catoe, Timothy Catoe, Kevin Smith. She was preceded in death by her spouse John Maxie Catoe.
