A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty Sue Wilson Norris, 87, of Camden, SC, was held a Monday, August 1, 2016 at First Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Hancock officiated. Burial followed in Quaker Cemetery. The family received friends at prior to the service in the church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty’s memory to First Baptist Church, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Betty, widow of Henry McKay Norris, died Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born in Bishopville, SC, on February 26, 1929, the daughter of the late Alma Holland Beasley and Hampton H. Wilson. She attended schools in Camden, Bishopville and Winthrop College.

Betty is survived by her children, Henry T. “Hank” Norris (Cathy) and Sandra N. Brady (Dick), all of Lugoff; grandchildren, Angie N. Smothers (Brad), Stephen Napper, Rebecca Upchurch (Rob), Kayla B. Shoemake (Byron) and Henry McKay “Mac” Norris II (Zan); great-grandchildren, Jamie, Callie and Zoe Smothers, Jade, Stephen Brandon and Aiden Napper, Brady and Henry Shoemake, and James Norris; great-great grandchildren Addy and Maddy Napper; brothers, Hampton Wilson (Jan) of Florence and Thomas Michael Beasley (Nell), of Bishopville; and her step-sister, Wilhelmina Chandler (Billie) of Sumter.

Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Susan “Bunny” Napper
