LUGOFF -- A funeral service for Beulah Stoney Hill, 88, will be held Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Marion Bennett will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hill passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. Born in Lugoff, she was a daughter of the late Boykin and Beulah Stoney. Mrs. Hill was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she sang with the choir and was a member of the Parkers Club. She enjoyed shopping and traveling.
Surviving are her children, Leon Hill (Linda) of Brooklyn N.Y., Mildred Turner of Camden, Dorothy Salmond (Jesse) of Lugoff, Clarence Hill of Columbia, Calvin Hill of Lugoff, David Hill (Annie) of Lugoff, Kenneth Hill (Natasha) of Lugoff; siblings, Robert Stoney (Mary), George Stoney (Eleanor), Mary Jane Fleming, Inez Stoney, Mittie Mae Burris (Sam), Jessie Stoney, Virginia James (Isaac), Vermell Bennett (Rev. Marion); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
