A funeral service celebrating the life of Blanche Coward Cox, 92, of Camden, SC, will be held at First Baptist Church in Camden at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2013. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2013. A graveside service will follow at 4:00 PM in Parks Crossroads Christian Church Cemetery in Ramseur, NC. Dr. David Helms and Rev. Benny Edwards of First Baptist Church, Southern Pines, NC will officiate. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Cox’s memory to First Baptist Church, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020 or KershawHealth Karesh Long Term Care Center, 1315 Roberts Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Blanche Coward Cox, widow of the late G. Howard Cox died Tuesday, March 5, 2013. She was born in Ramseur, NC, the daughter of the late Henry Lee and Paola Craven Coward. Mrs. Cox was a member of First Baptist Church in Camden, SC.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughters, Nancy Hopkins (Bob) of Southern Pines, NC, Galetta Eddings of Camden, and Janet Sheheen (Jerry) of Camden; son, Ronnie Cox (Rita) of Asheboro, NC; grandsons, James Todd Reid (Colbey) of Chapel Hill, NC, Timothy Howard Reid (Jeanna) of Franklin, TN, David Shannon Cox (Marissa) of Browns Summit, NC, Jacob Alton Cox of Asheboro, NC, Daniel Joseph Sheheen and Matthew Todd Sheheen of Columbia, SC; great-granddaughters, Ella Grace and Emmy Hope Reid of Franklin, TN; and brother-in-law, Elvin Cox (Doris) of Ramseur, NC. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Cox was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.
