A funeral service to celebrate the life of Yvonne S. “Bonnie” Kershner, 86, of Camden, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Lyn Hill and Rev. Don Craven will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Kershner’s memory to New Hope Church, 9105 Liberty Hill Road, Camden, SC 29020 or Alzheimers Research and Clinical Program MUSC, 5900 Core Ave., Suite 203, North Charleston, SC 29406.

Mrs. Kershner, wife of Wallace L. Kershner, was born in Roanoke, VA, the daughter of Robert Lee Sayers, Sr. and Lula Mae West Sayers. Mrs. Kershner was a member of New Hope Church and she loved to play bridge and travel.

Besides her husband of 65 years, Mrs. Kershner is survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruby Kershner, of Lake Wateree; sister-in-law, Janice King, of Ada, OK; brother-in-law, Robert Kershner Jr., of Roanoke, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kershner was predeceased by her brothers, Buddy Sayers and Robert Sayers, Jr. and her sister, Racella S. Crews.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
