Bruce Christian Sahlman died June 9. 2012. Mr. Sahlman is survived by his wife of 53 years, Harriet Stevens Sahlman; two sons, Steven Sahlman and Christian Sahlman and Chris’s wife, Roslyn and their children, Reagan and “CJ” (Christian James).

Bruce was raised in Baltimore, MD. Upon completing high school, he entered the University of Vermont. Two New England winters drove him south to the University of Florida where he obtained a Bachelor of Forestry degree. Following a tour as a Naval Aviator, he returned to college and received a Master of Forestry degree from Yale. He tricked Harriet into marrying him and relocating to the Deep South. After working with the Allison Lumber Company in west Alabama, he joined Union Camp Corp. with which he was associated for 35 years in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Bruce enjoyed his family and friends, good dogs, good books and good music. He was a firm believer in the need to protect our Second Amendment rights.
