A service to celebrate the life of Catherine Pate Collins, 85, was held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. The Reverends Michael Arant and David Weaver officiated. The family received friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, S.C. 29020.

Catherine passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. Born in Lee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ben Frank Pate and Alice Ratcliff Pate. She was a member and longtime volunteer at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and past-president of the Camden Shrine Auxiliary.

Surviving are her children; Donald Edwin Collins (Toni) of Myrtle Beach, Linda Collins Truesdale of Camden, Judy Collins Cox (Larry) of Camden, William Allen Collins of Camden; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Nick E. Collins Jr.; son Alfred Andrew Collins; son-in-law, Ronger L. Truesdale; grandson, William Allen Collins II, sister, Sara Brockington; brothers, Gary Pate; and Ben Pate.
