A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clarence Coleman “C.C.” Canada, 83, of Camden, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Rev. Michael Arant will officiate. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International, (Camden Chapter), PO Box 1333, Camden, SC 29020.
C.C. died Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born in Lane, SC, the son of the late Irvin Shaw Canada and Vivian Player Canada. C.C. was a graduate of the University of GA in journalism in 1957. He was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church and was Building Chair of the Family Life Center. C.C. was past president of the Kiwanis Club of Camden and Utica, NY. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. C. C. was active in sports car racing, being a 50 year member of SCCA. He made a livelihood out of his love for the outdoors. C. C. owned a hardwood sawmill in NY State, was a consulting Forrester, a buyer and seller of farm and timberland. He made many friends over the years with his passion of the outdoors, racing, church and civic activities.
C.C. is survived by his sons, Cash Canada (Kimberly) of Camden and Walker Canada (Liz) of Camden; and granddaughter, Katherine Vivian Canada; and his brother, Joel Canada from Alpharetta, GA.
C.C. was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Rowe Canada.
