Funeral service for Clarence Andrew Darby, Jr., 67, of Camden, will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Wyatt Minton will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Darby died Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Born in Orangeburg, he was a son of the late Clarence Darby Sr. and the late Rebecca Kelly Darby. Mr. Darby served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. He retired from E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Townsmen Club in Columbia, a member of the Camden Tourist Elk Lodge #1638, and a former member of Al Bahr Temple, in Camden. Mr. Darby enjoyed sports.

Mr. Darby was a member of Camden First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Monica Darby Roddy; son, Andre' Darby; sisters, Delores G. McClain, Helen L. Darby, and Ruthine Jenkins; brother, Leroyal R. Darby; and grandchildren, Allen Darby, Noah Darby, and Bria Greene.
