Funeral service to celebrate the life of Clyburn Morris “Cooterbug” Hinson, Jr., 61 will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church with burial to follow in Hardshell.  The Rev. Jeff Grubbs and the Rev. Joe Stines will officiate.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at El-Bethel Faith Community Church Family Life Center.  Memorial may be made to El-Bethel Faith Community Church.

Mr. Hinson passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 surrounded by his family.  Born in Camden, he was the son of Mary Alice Branham Smith and the late Clyburn Morris Hinson, Sr.  He was employed with Wolfe Mechanical and a member of El-Bethel Faith Community Church.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Sharon Lucille Wink Hinson; sons, Donald Wayne Hinson (Aimee) of Lugoff and Kevin Hinson (Katie) of Lugoff; mother, Mary Smith of Elgin; brothers, Earl Hinson (Charlene) of Elgin and Eugene Hinson (Judy) of Elgin; sisters, Sharon Jackson (Cary) of Elgin and Angela O’Quinn (Larry) of Elgin; grandchildren, Layne Hinson, Reid Hinson and Rhett Hinson; and special uncle who was like a brother, Clyde Hinson (Jenny).  He was predeceased by son, Clyburn Morris Hinson, III; and brother, Steve Douglas Hinson.
