A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clyde Key, 63, of Camden will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Springvale Baptist Church. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate. Burial will follow in Springvale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Friday, July 24, 2015 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Clyde’s memory Kornegay Funeral Home to help cover expenses, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020 or to Power Up Girl’s Ministry (PUGS), 10 St. Andrews Way, Elgin, SC 29045.

Clyde died Tuesday, July 22, 2015. He was born in Jasper, AL, the son of the late William Alfred Key and Dorothy Guthrie Key and raised by Jewel and James Hawkins. He attended Springvale Baptist church. Clyde retired from Credit Auto Sales, Lugoff, SC. He was a person that was only a phone call away, whether to feed the homeless or a fundraiser to help someone in need. 

He is survived by his wife, Nicole Peake Key; son, Taylor Lee Key of Camden; daughters, Melissa Miller, Katrina Toth, Tonya Lemacks (Walt); brothers, William Key of Elgin and Mark Key of Alabama; sisters, Vera Lomax of GA and Alice South of Elgin, SC; five grandchildren and his beloved pets, Diamond Marie and Lilly Bell.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy Key, brothers, Charles Ray Key, Matt Key and Delano Key; sisters, Jeanette Key, Etta Casey and Patricia McCloud.
