Daisy Blanding

Mrs. Daisy Bell (Dootsie) Blanding, of Elgin, mother and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6 2011 at KershawHealth in Camden, S.C. Born on Nov. 15 1934, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Lawson of Elgin, SC.

She attended public schools in Kershaw County and was a loyal housekeeper and caregiver for many years. Mrs. Blanding accepted Christ in her life and became a dedicated member of Greenhill Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC.

She was preceded in eternal life by her husband the late Mr. James Blanding and her four children Joe Lewis Lawson, Ernestine Samuel, David Samuel and Frankie Samuel as well as two sisters Mrs. Evelyn Shepard and Mrs. Lois Mae Clifton, and two brothers Mr. Johnny Lawson and Mr. Frank Lawson.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her precious memories; six children, Betty Murphy of Columbia, S.C., Richard (Elizabeth) Samuel, Alvin Samuel, Robert (Cathy) Samuel all of Elgin, S.C., Danny Samuel of Columbia, S.C., Ryan Samuel of Elgin, S.C., and two adopted daughters Stanasia Samuel of N.C. and Karen Smith of Elgin, S.C. One sister Ms. Louise Brown of Lugoff, S.C. and a host of nieces, nephews, grandkids, great grandkids, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2 PM at Greenhill Baptist Church, Lugoff, SC.

Haile's Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
