David Brooker Clyburn, 60, of Camden, SC left this earth and entered his heavenly home after a brief illness at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital on April 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 8 at 1 p.m. at Wateree Baptist Church, Haile Street Camden, SC. Visitation will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall. 

Born in Camden, David was the son of the late Henry Lee Clyburn and Eloise Rhoden Clyburn. He is survived by daughters Misty Mathis (Eddie) of Camden, Christy Holder (Mark) of Liberty, SC, and Angela Clyburn of Camden, sisters Kay Green (Don) of Camden, and Susan Green of Bishopville, SC. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Rylee Mathis, Jacob “Jake” Mathis, Abbigail Holder, Joseph “Joe” Holder, Grayson Clyburn, Brooklyn Stafford, and Sloan Stafford. Mr. Clyburn is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Clyburn was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Henry Lee Clyburn, Jr., and sisters MaryAnn Tufts, and Sybil Tait. David was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He loved life, having fun, music, and especially gardening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 37 Villa Road, Greenville, SC 29615. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in the spirit. Psalms 34:18.
