David Ray Marksbary

CAMDEN - Services will be private.  Mr. Marksbary passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at the age of 83.  Born in Indianapolis, IN he was the son of the late Arthur Marksbary and Mabel Breedlove Marksbary.

Mr. Marksbary played offensive tackle for Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, where he was known as “David the Goliath”.  He was a master mechanic, service engineer for Outboard Marine Corp., Owner/Operator of the Camden Marine Center and Camden Tool Rental.  He retired after 35 years as the Owner/Operator of the Camden Auction Company.  He enjoyed restoring antique furniture and loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Patricia Lou Alexander Marksbary; children, Bobbie (Jim) Crawford, Rebecca (David) Morrison, Michael (Judy) David Marksbary, and Linda Marksbary Nauman;  grandchildren, Justin

Marksbary, Christopher Rabon, Jennifer King-Lewis, and Matthew  Morrison;  great-grandchildren, Savana, Jaimie and Collin Marksbary, Robert “Alex” Rabon, Elliot and Cora King-Lewis; brother, Richard Marksbary.  He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Lynn Marksbary; brother, Clifford Marksbary; sister, Daisy Mae Marksbary; in-laws, Alvin Alexander and Iona Davis Alexander.
