Funeral service for English Delano Belk, 65, of Camden, will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Hermitage Baptist Church with burial to follow in Wateree Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Condy Richardson will officiate. The family received friends Thursday 5:30-7:30 at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Hermitage Baptist Church Arise and Build Fund.

Mr. Belk died Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Samuel English and Christine Melton Belk. He retired from Hermitage Mill. He was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church where he served on the Communion Committee. He was an avid hunter and former member of the 97 Hunt Club and enjoyed gardening. He took pride in his vegetable garden and had a great sense of humor.

Surviving are his wife, Peggy Bradley Belk; daughters, Diane Belk Syer (Scott) of Camden and Amanda Noel Bradley of Camden; son, Jason Scott Belk (Elizabeth) of Camden; sister, Dorothy Belk White (Doyle) of Keystone Heights, Fla.; granddaughter, Riley Diane Belk; brother-in-law, Larry Bradley of Camden; and special sister-in-law and caregiver, Elizabeth Tarlton of Westville. He was predeceased by brother, J. Lawson Belk.
