A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Donald Price “Don” Brown, 93, of Camden, was held Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Jim Osteen officiated. The family received friends prior to the service at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020.

Don died Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born in Chesterfield, SC, the son of the late Rev. Donald A. Brown and Ella Price Brown. Don served stateside in the US Navy during WWII, was retired from the Camden Chronicle and was a salesman for Walker Evan & Cogswell. He was past commander of James Leroy Belk #17 of the American Legion, past president of the Sertoma Club, a member of First Baptist Church and he loved spending time and fishing at Lake Wateree.

Don is survived by his son, D. Price Brown, Jr. (Lucy Bates) of Camden; sister, Laura B. Latimer of Bishopville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Lida “Nan” Ingram Brown, Don was predeceased by 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
