A graveside service to honor the life of Douglas Eugene Carter, Sr., 82, of Camden, SC, will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Douglas Eugene Carter, Sr., widower of Marcine Griffin Carter, died Thursday, March 24, 2016. He was born in Monroe, NC, the son of the late Helen Carter Styne. Mr. Carter served in the US Navy Medical Corps during the Korean War. He was a compliance officer for the US Department of Agriculture and was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Mr. Carter is survived by his son, Douglas E. Carter, Jr. (Faye) of Camden, SC; daughters, Robin C. Calvert (Jerry) of Spartanburg, SC and Amy C. Glickson (Dove) of Pine, CO; grandchildren, Christopher Carter, Ashley Carter, Pamela Warner, Casey Seaman (DJ), and Tim and Chip Calvert; great-grandchildren, Chasey, Vada, Addi and Eliana. Colin, Tayte, Ellie, Cody, Riggs and Bailey.

Mr. Carter was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Styne Kelsoe.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
