Eileen Margaret Mulqueen Smith, age 85, beloved wife of Sidney Charles Smith, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home.

Born in Edmonton, London, She was the daughter  of the late John Dennis Mulqueen and Doris Miller Mulqueen. Eileen has been a member of Wedgefield Baptist Church since 1984, where she was a member of the Sunshine Girls and was a former choir director.  She enjoyed writing poetry and she loved both gardening and fishing.  Eileen was a very loving and caring lady, who exemplified the Christian spirit.  She loved God and served him with all her might.  Her true passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her husband of 45 years, Sidney.  She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by; three sons, Charles Rodney Smith of Georgia, Denny Smith and his wife Debbie of North Carolina and Tony Smith and his wife Debbie of West Virginia; one daughter, Lisa Dobbins of West Virginia; three grandsons; eight granddaughters; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Christopher Mulqueen of England; one son-in-law, John Dobbins of West Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Debra Converse of Sumter and one sister-in-law, Wendy Mulqueen.

She was preceded in death by; one son, David Michael Converse; one granddaughter, Courtney Paige Converse and one brother, Terry Mulqueen.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Wedgefield Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Goff officiating.  

Memorials may be made to the Wedgefield Baptist Church, building fund, 6220 Wedgefield Rd., Wedgefield, SC 29168.
