Elisha Grant Sr., affectionately known as “Uncle Sonnyboy,” “Chuck,” and “Chuckie Boy,” life’s journey ended peacefully at Palmetto Richland Hospital on January 20, 2018 after living 90 wonderful years.

Elisha was born in Camden on October 31, 1927 to the late George Grant and Emma Halley.  He was one of eight children.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his current wife, Mary; two daughters, Betty Grant and Valerie Grant of Camden, SC; and a stepdaughter, Mary Ella (Robert) Goodwin of Rembert, SC. A son, Ronnie Grant and a stepson, Samuel (Vanessa) Adams of Camden, SC. A daughter-in-law, Mattie Grant of Camden, SC; one sister, Mabel Ellis of Camden, SC; One sister-in-law, Willie Mae Pate of Camden, SC; Two brothers-in-law Theodore Blair of Rosedale, New York and Joe (Esther) Lewis of  North Chesterfield, Virginia, eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday,  Jan. 27, 2018 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, Camden, with burial in the church cemetery.
