CAMDEN -- Funeral service for Estelle Viola Suite Hendrix, 89, will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry. The family will receive friends today 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hendrix, wife of the late Johnny D. Hendrix, passed away at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Born in Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Estus and Lelia Bland Butler. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and playing the piano.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Betty Hendrix; brother, Raymond Suite; grandchildren, John Christopher Hendrix, Shawn Hendrix (Mary), Dawn Jones (Jeff), Tina Branham, and Loree Stokes (Brandon); 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
