Felix E. Mock III, husband of Cara Sorensen Mock died Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born in Huntsville, AL, the son of the late Felix E. Mock, Jr. and Virginia Marie Smith Mock. Mr. Mock was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.
Felix enjoyed a successful career as a retriever trainer. He worked with many phenomenal animals and their owners. Winning and celebrating in 1979 (High Point Open), 1986 (National Retriever Championship), and 1992 ( High Point Open), Felix and his initial string of field champions, Zac, Chase, Hoss, Jam and Ollie, shared a love of work and duck hunting in Walpole Island in Ontario, Canada. Although he was known to throw people out of his house, he was always willing to share time in the field. He loved to share God’s finest creations.
Besides his wife, Felix is survived by his daughter, Anna Virginia Mock of the home and his brother, Steven Mock of Beverly Hills, MI.
Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
