A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frances McCaskill Catoe, 82, of Lake Wateree will be held Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Eric Boone will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 12 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Catoe’s memory to Pine Grove Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 836 Pine Grove Road, Lugoff, SC 29078.

Mrs. Catoe, widow of Willie C. “Shine” Catoe, died Tuesday. March 10, 2015. She was born in Lee County. Frances was the daughter of the late Thomas Pinckney McCaskill and Annie Leona Colvin McCaskill. She was an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir. She enjoyed visiting and singing with a musical group at nursing homes and traveling with church tour groups. She retired from DuPont. 

She is survived by her daughters, Lynn C. Moore (Richard) of Lake Wateree, and Nancy C. Childress (Kenneth L.) of Greenville, SC; 3 grandchildren, Jessica M. Jackson (Jerome), Wesley R. Moore (Ashley) and Ellen Marie Moore; 4 great-grandchildren, Ian Jackson, Rylee Jackson, Madison Moore and Meredith Moore. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Pinckney Lee Catoe; brothers, Louie, Rob, Theary, Carl, Dan and Kenneth McCaskill and a sister, Jewell Cribb.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
