Francis Williams Lachicotte IV, 77, of Johns Island, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 in the historic All Saints Episcopal Church, Pawley's Island at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.

Frank was born February 15, 1937 in Waynesville, North Carolina, son of the late Francis Williams Lachicotte III and Ruth Kezziah Lachicotte. He was a Financial Advisor and President of Lachicotte, Inc. He was an active member of his community both in Camden and Charleston. Frank had a deep and abiding faith in God, and was active in his church, The Church of the Holy Cross, the Cursillo program, Christian mentoring, and also the Guardian ad Litem system, where he had a profound influence among the lives of many people. He loved boating and was a member of the Carolina Yacht Club. Frank had a great passion for South Carolina history and was an active member of many organizations, often serving in leadership positions. Among these are included Sons of the American Revolution, Past President, Gen. William Moultrie Chapter and South Carolina Society SAR Vice President; The Society of the War of 1812 in the State of South Carolina; The Society of St. Thomas and St. Denis, 1706, Treasurer and Honorary President; La Societe Francaise, Past President; The St. David's Society, Past Secretary; The Palmetto Guard; Sons of Confederate Veterans; The Military Order of the Stars and Bars; The Society of First Families of South Carolina 1670-1700; The Order of St. Vincent, and The Society of King Charles the Martyr. Frank had a great zest for life and enjoyed his family and many friends. He cared deeply for rescuing dogs, outdoor life on the SC coast, and traveling. He was especially fond and proud of his three grandsons.

He is survived by his two daughters, Shannon L. Schlueter and her husband, John of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Anne L. Munson and her husband, John of Richmond, VA; his grandsons, Benjamin Schlueter, Jay Munson and Thomas Munson; and his sisters, Lillian Stokes Lachicotte of San Diego, CA and Charlotte Douglas Lachicotte of Baton Rouge, LA. He was deeply loved and will be missed by so many.
