A memorial service for Gerald Earl Hubler, 80, will beheld Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Powers funeral Home, Lugoff. The Rev. David Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 17, PO Box 456, Camden, S.C. 29021.

Mr. Hubler, husband of the late Virgie N. Belger Hubler, died Monday, June 11, 2012. Born in Minot, N.D., he was the son of the late Dr. Winfield Earl Hubler and Mildred Lewis Hubler. He retired as a maintenance supervisor with Air National Guard based in Fargo, North Dakota. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post Commander and a member of the Voiture 1444, 40 & 8.

Mr. Hubler was a member of Lugoff First Baptist Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and auto mechanics.

Surviving are his son, Donald E. Hubler (Cathy) of Madison, Ala.; daughter, Bcky Hubler Bryant of Lugoff, S.C.; and grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Nathan.
