Graveside funeral services celebrating the life of Harold Edward Watts, Sr., 84, of Camden, were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Dr. Condy Richardson officiated. The family received friends from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Monday, September 13, 2010 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mr. Watts’ memory to Arise and Build, Hermitage Baptist Church, 814 Jefferson Davis Highway, Camden, SC 29020.

Mr. Watts died Sunday, September 12, 2010. Born in Lugoff, he was the son of the late Nick and Julia P. Watts. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Watts served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 0017 and VFW Post 5928. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Burns Watts; son, Eddie (Sharon) Watts of Lugoff ; daughter, Harriet Holt (Chuck) of Columbia; grandchildren:  Shannon Blackwell (Tommy) of Camden, Jennifer Price and Teddi Windom(Kris), both of Columbia and Jon Watts of Florence; great-grandchildren:  Alexis McLeod, Sara Blackwell, Brent Blackwell, Olivia Cone, Bria Price, Alyssa Windom; sister: Aline Davis of Lugoff; brothers:  Benny and Marshall Watts both of Lugoff and Donald Watts of Camden. He was predeceased by brothers:  Oscar and Maxie Watts.
