A private graveside committal to honor the life of Harold Upton Moore was held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Harold, 82, passed away at home February 22, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. 

Born May 25, 1933 in Persinger, West Virginia to the late Orval Upton and Beulah Rader Moore. After serving in the Korean Conflict, Harold came home working for Bell telephone company while creating several different restaurants. He spent his last 45 years working construction where he retired here at our DuPont Plant in 1996 as project manager with Fluor Daniel. While never ending his true passion of farming the whole time. The family will receive friends at the home.

Survived by his loving wife Shirley Mae; children, Harold Jr. (Nancy) of Gainsville, Fl., David (Janice) of Cassatt, Glen of Belle, West Virginia, Pete, Jimmy (Lisa), Jennifer Moore and (devoted dog Cub) all of Camden; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; cousin, Kenneth Rader and Nephew, Paul (Marissa) Osborne. 

Predeceased by daughter, Susie of Wilmington, NC, 2 sisters and 1 brother all of Belle, WV.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to Compassionate Care Hospice, 455 Saint Andrews Road, Building D, Suite 1, Columbia, SC 29210
