Funeral services to celebrate the life of Hattie Branham Taylor, 88, of Lugoff will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Wateree Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby James, Jr., Dr. Ron Taylor and Rev. Drew Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday. June 1, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Taylor’s memory to Wateree Baptist Church, 2024 Haile Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Taylor, widow of L.T. Taylor, died Monday, May 30, 2011. Born in Lugoff, she was the daughter of the late Reuben Branham and Martha Elizabeth Branham. She was co-owner of the House of Flowers Florist. Mrs. Taylor was a member of Wateree Baptist Church for over 65 years, where she taught Sunday school for 31 years, was a former choir member, served as Hostess and served on many committees.

Surviving are her son Dr. Ron Taylor and his wife Debra of Sumter; daughter, Rebecca McCaskill and her husband Steve of Elgin; grandchildren, Rhonda Parnell and her husband Eddie, Rev. Drew Taylor and his wife Christina, Kelley Little and her husband John, Matt McCaskill and his wife Barbie; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Taylor Grace, C.J., James, Ellie, Benjamin, Deacon, Jay, Ethan, Walker, SaraBeth and Daniel. She was predeceased by sisters, Mary Jones and Ruby Harden, brother, Albert "Buddy" Branham.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
