Graveside services celebrating the life of Helen Gainey Graham, 88, of Camden, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012 at Forest lawn memorial park. Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Forest lawn memorial Park, 1659 Kershaw Highway, Camden, SC 29020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Graham’s memory to First Baptist Church of Camden, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC, 29020 or the Camden High School Bulldog Club, P.O. Box 587, Camden, SC 29201.

Mrs. Graham, widow of Lawrence P. Graham, died Saturday, April 28, 2012. Born in Grays Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Gordon Gainey and Maizey Kirkpatrick Gainey. Mrs. Graham was a former physical education teacher at Camden Junior High School. She worked many years with her husband in the Camden Bulldog Club and many of their activities. Mrs. Graham was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher and GA worker.

Surviving are her children, Linda G. Stogner of Lake Wateree, Larry Graham and his wife, Linda, of Camden and Barbara Graham and her husband, Alan Handa of York; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Shaeffer, brother, Charles Gainey and son-in-law, Jim Stogner.

The family of Mrs. Graham would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Morningside and Karesh Wing for their loving care during the last years of her life.
