Funeral services to celebrate the life of Helen H. Cline, 72, of Lugoff were held Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM in Lugoff Christian Ministries with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friends, Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. The Reverends Reece and Ann Byrd officiated. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mrs. Cline’s memory to the Liver Transplant Fund, C/O MUSC Foundation, 18 Bee Street, PO Box MSC 450, Charleston, SC, 29425.
Mrs. Cline has made her final journey to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her two sons Larry and Jeff on Thursday, February 10, 2011. She was born December 1, 1938 to the late Marian and Lawrence (Kann) Altman Hughes of Hemmingway, SC. She was a member of Lugoff Christian Ministries. She was a 1958 graduate of Blaney High School. She lived and worked many places in SC and retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health after 18 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kristi Bryant; grandson, Zack Gainey; sisters, Laurence Thomas and her husband, Ray, Jo Kirkland and her husband, Tommy, and Wannah Douglas; brother, Clint Hughes; a number of great and great great nieces and nephews; friends dear to her heart, Mr. Paul & Shelby Grimm, Don Cradock. She is also survived by her beloved four legged pet, Nadine. She was predeceased by her two sons, Larry “Ziggy” Cline and Jeff Cline and sister, Dot Kirkland.
