Helen Jean Lanin, of Elgin, has passed on. Helen was born on November 29, 1938 in Houston Texas. She is a graduate of LaPorte High School and Stephen F. Austin College. She was a teacher and real estate agent who loved reading and crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Lanin, of Elgin; sons, Scott Ramsey Walker (Aiyen) of Hong Kong, China, Trey Walker (Kelli) of Reno, N.V., Trey Walker (Debbi) of Lugoff; and a brother, Joe Ramsey (Pam) of Televast, Fla, and six grandchildren.
